Manchester Indoor Ice Wall

Recently 5 of the committee squeezed into a car along with all their gear and travelled to Manchester to sample the North Face ice climbing wall. After 2hours of playing on the ice inside a giant freezer we decided that it was so much fun that we would organise more trips there for everyone else.

These trips provide a really good introduction into ice climbing with all the basics been taught by staff at the wall. Or if you've ice climbed before then its a perfect place to go and brush up on your skills or try out lots of different gear. This is an awesome opportunity to sample ice climbing before the Winter Skills meet so you can decide on the best course for you.

Any gear that you need (such as boots, crampons and axes) is included in the price to climb and all belaying is done by staff at the wall, who also give you lots of tips while your having a play.
