Here are my memoires from the trip, please feel free to add yours as well - their are plenty more tales of excitement and epics beyond my week.
Another great trip from my point of view. First day I went out for a short (2 munro walk - mullach nan Coriean and Stob Ban) to warm up my legs and get a feel for conditions. They were supprisingly lean. Since the forcast predicted a cold front to come later in the week, I decided to do a 2 day both trip whilst it was warmer and the climbing wasn't so good. This went up glen nevis and bashed up the hillside to Sgurr Choinnich Mor, along the grey corries Stob Corrie an Laoigh and Stob Corrie Claurigh. I regret missing out Stob Ban- reason was it was getting dark and I was tired from trail breaking. We bothied in meaniach bothy, and I had a supprisingly good nights sleep! Second bothy trip day we started with a tricky river crossing- strong currents and half of it was icy. In retrospect I should have been a bit more careful than to just jump in as the current Knocked Ann-Katherin over and I hadto help her up! We then climbed Sgurr Eilde mor, Binnein Mor and Na Gruagaichean before being picked up in Kinlochleven by Brannock - thanks very much for the driving. The rest of the week I went climbing: seconded Glovers Chimney with Brannock and Stu, played around on the East Face of Annoch Mor and alt leads with Ben on number 2 gully buttress with Ben - leading my first ever winter climb!
Binnein Mor Pokes its head above the clouds
Ben Jeffers is leading on Ann-Katherin's first winter route
Pineapple: Ann-Katherin for stealing the most munros, this was a close one between her and Dean but the shite whether on the last day stop Dean in his tracks on the Ring of Steall (4 munros) and she got a cheeky accent of Ben Nevis in after doing number 5 gully which swayed it!
Rock: Ann-Ketherin for incredible enthusiasm on her 1st week-long trip, going out again to climb after a bit of an epic the day before and the bothy trip.
Pebble: Annette for having the most explorer-like week! Actually the variety of activity sounds rather fun, especially the mountain biking, def have try this sometime.
Bog Roll: Stu and Ben for not bagging any munros (Both did some really good winter climbing I will add though).
