Annual General Meeting 2010

  • Just before Easter each year it comes to the time of year when we have our Annual General Meeting, this is where you get to vote in the new committee for the coming year.
  • This is the most important social of the year so it would be great to see as many of you their as possible.
  • There are 6 committee positions available and there is some information below about what each role involves, however the best way to find out about the rolls is to talk to the current person in the position.
  • Being on the MPS committee is good fun and not too much work.
  • The positions have some responsibility attached so can be very interesting at times.
  • If youíre a first year and donít know much about the club, thatís no problem because the current members will spend time going over what the position involves and how to do it well.
  • To be elected onto the committee you must have another member of MPS to propose you.
  • If you would like to go for one of the positions please e-mail me with the position you want to go for and the person who is going to propose you.
  • The format for AGM will be the proposer will give a short speech and then the candidate will answer questions from the floor.
  • It should be an entertaining evening, especially with the new versus old committee boat race!
