some of you were asking how to upload photos onto the MPS website so I've put together this little guide to show you how its done:
Go to the page you want the picture to appear in the at the bottom of the page click on Edit Page.
Type Attach:"filename".jpg where you want the picture to be (obviously replacing "filename" with some name suitable for your photo - this does not hve to be the one it is called on your machine). The filename must have no spaces and no capital letters to work properly.
Save the changes then click on the question mark that appears after the Attach: filename.jpg bit. You will then be asked for a password to continue (the password is only there to prevent people we don't know overloading out server - just ask one of the Committee Members who will give it to you). Then browse for your pic and then upload. When you go back to the original page the picture should be there.
Ideally you should upload pictures at the size you want to use them (i.e. resize them before you upload), as resizing them in wiki makes positioning and layout more complicated in the wiki pages. It also means people don't have to spend ages downloading the photo to their computer when they vieew the page. Please try to keep photos less than 30Kb for those on Modems - You can also upload a bigger version and link to it. See Steal Hut for an Example.
But... to resize a picture in wiki use %width=550% Attach:filename.jpg %% where the 550 is the width of the picture (in pixels I think but just experiment till you get it to the right size)
Thats about it!
